Tourists enjoying the bright, sunny day befitting Springtime in Toronto on this November afternoon at the Gooderham Flatiron Building.
A field of tall wheat buried in two feet of snow, and a long-forgotten homestead time forgot, while the elements of nature slowly reclaim for the soil from which it was made.
The train has passed, the streets are clear, and the silence is music as snowflakes begin to fall gently on this peaceful day Unionville.
Fresh ice ashore at Diamond Beach, Iceland. The name, Diamond Beach, is a made-up name for tourists, but quite fitting considering the sparkling jewels it harbors like this one. For those true to geography, thought, the real name of this magical place is either Vestri-Fellsfjara or Eystri-Fellsfjara depending on which side of the Jökulsá River you are. I was on the Eystri-Fellsfjara side to capture this image.
The Flatiron Building in downtown Toronto attracts tourists from all over the world. Its unique juxtaposition with the skyscraper backdrop showcases this building as a live glimpse into Toronto's history.
This is Otis! A Black Lab puppy just six months old at the time I took this photo. He's one of the dozen or so dogs belonging to a fun group of dog-owner-friends in our neighbourhood we call the Wishing Well Dogs, affectionately coined for our community, and the name of the park where we congregate. But on this snowy Family Day in February, we met for the first time at our local Tam O'Shanter golf course. The dogs were particularly excited about the new environment with there old friends, and in this...

single moment, little Otis suddenly went from the adorable inquisitor, to the mighty ruler. This photo was also awarded with an Honourable Mention in the 2021 Neil Dankoff International Photography Competition - Children/Pets Category. By coincidence, a photo I shot this same day of one of Otis's play pals, Cooper, won 1st Place in the same competition.
This is Autumn, one of the most exuberant of our Wishing Well Dog Group buddies running free in the snow this special day at the barren local golf course here in Toronto.
Meet Hugo!... our 8 -month-old White Lab puppy. He’s one of a fun group we call the “Wishing Well Dogs”, affectionately coined for our neighbourhood, and name of the park where we congregate. But on this snowy Family Day in February, we met for the first time at our local golf course, where I was asked to bring my trusty Nikon mirrorless camera, to capture the freedom on the dog’s faces as they ran amok on the barren fairways. The dogs were particularly excited about the new environment with their best pals, and Hugo did his part as the peacekeeper of the pack, as his nature forbids anythiing remotely less than happiness from his dog pals and people alike.
